All the latest from the Credit Union

Member will note that the Credit Union transferred onto its own server yesterday (Thursday 19th August 2010).

We are currently experiencing a problem with emails being sent from the Bradford Council server to the Credit Union.

This is our first step towards improving  services we are able to offer you and to enable us to update to new more flexible accountancy software. Look out for new services such as balances via text message, which will be available in the near future.

Apologies to any members who experienced minor problems during the switchover.

We can now offer all members the facility to cash cheques at all Council Cash Offices.

Cheques up to the value of  £500 may now be cashed at any Council Cash Office by any Credit Union member, subject to the funds being available in their account.

The Credit Union’s interest rates for loans have been added to the FAQ page, and are also available as a download.

The interest rates are
£200 – £1000 Apr 26.8%
£1001 – £2000 Apr 19.5%
£2001 – £5000 Apr 12.7%

Example of a £1500 loan over 18 months

£95.52 x 18 (per month) or
£22.04 x 78 (per week)

Loan £1500
Interest £219.38
Total To Repay £1719.38

Nissan PIXOYou have just 6 days to get your ticket to win a brand new car!

All year the Lord Mayor’s Appeal have been selling tickets for the chance to win a Nissan Pixo, very generously donated by the Co-operative, but if you have not got your ticket yet then time is fast running out. The Lord Mayor’s Appeal Grand Draw will be made at the People in the Park event at Lister Park on Saturday 8th May at 4pm.

You can buy your ticket for just £1.00 before then from either the Lord Mayor’s Office (Room 215 City Hall) or Credit Union (City Hall Reception).

Call in to buy your ticket Thursday or Friday this week or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday next week between 9.30am-12 Noon or 2pm-4.30pm.

And just to motivate you even more on the last two occasions we have had a car as the First Prize in the Grand Draw it was won by a Bradford Council colleague. So it really could be you!
